WHO WE ARE

MEET OFLAND (FORMERLY YONDER)

Ofland Hospitality (formerly Yonder Hospitality) is an outdoor resort brand created by Charles Tate in 2021 that is rooted in the spirit and time-honored tradition of the Great American road trip, connecting travelers to the nostalgia of our past, an appreciation for the present-day, and a bright outlook toward the future. Ofland takes it's name from the words "of the land" and reflects our company’s nature-based ethos and commitment for low-impact development and design crafted toward showcasing the unique landscape of each of our resorts and parks. We seek to meet the hospitality needs of travelers looking to escape the city and reconnect with nature. Ofland achieves this goal by developing resorts with aesthetically distinct free-standing rooms and carefully curated outdoor oriented amenities with warm, friendly service. Noah Ellis, experienced in all aspects of hospitality, has partnered with Charles Tate to develop the Ofland brand and serve as CEO to lead all operations. The company’s first resort, Ofland Escalante (originally Yonder Escalante), opened in April 2021 in southern Utah located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument near Bryce Canyon National Park. Ofland is currently pursuing a project in the City of Townsend, Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Ofland is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

OUR PRIORITIES

OUR PRIORITIES

OUR PRIORITIES

Outdoor-oriented hospitality resort with curated amenities and programming centered around reconnecting with nature.

OUTDOOR ORIENTATED

A low-intensity development compatible with existing landscape, fauna, and vistas.

LOW-INTENSITY DEVELOPMENT

Not a destination resort, but a basecamp serving visitors to Joshua Tree National Park and surrounding areas.

NOT A DESTINATION RESORT

All project components designed and crafted to enhance the inherent beauty of the site.

DESIGNED TO COMPLIMENT NATURE

THE OFLAND APPROACH

STEWARDSHIP

Ofland partners with a local non-profit organization centered around conservationism and preservation of the National Park at each location.

COMPATIBLE LAND USE

We look for our design to be compatible with existing land composition and highlight mature flora throughout the property. Moreover, we look to only develop in the necessary footprint, and work with local agencies to conserve surrounding land to assure it remains undisturbed.

BEING A GOOD NEIGHBOR

We go beyond assuring noise and light are minimized on the property surrounding Ofland. Dark-sky lighting is implemented at all Yonder properties to highlight one of the fastest diminishing natural resources: the night sky. Noise is controlled through on-site staffing, quiet hours, and thoughtful amenity design.
